These are so on point. Nr. 3 especially grinds my gears, makes everyone else work harder to get them to say what they really think

Yea! It can be quite annoying.

Thanks for sharing.

These are great! The only one I might be a little careful about deploying would be the "You look confused" line. I think it depends on who you are addressing and what your relationship is like with that person, but it may be a little more sensitive to say something along the lines of "Hey x, do you want me to go over anything a bit more?"

Love this, Raviraj. There are surprisingly many ways to improve our communication skills without talking!

Loved the personal examples Raviraj! Really enjoyed the read and the story-telling in this one, I think this is your smoothest flow so far, great job!

Thank you for noticing the quality of the prose. Yea, compromised on some sleep for this one instead of rushing last minute like the past few ones :)

Sometimes the "Silent but Irritated" is anything but silent!

Great tips on how to deal with these people kindly, Raviraj. It's crucial not to burn the bridges with them. Even if we see these behaviors clearly from the outside, nobody, us included, sees the behaviors on themselves.

Great article! True examples. I have a person in the team that exhibits multiple of the listed types of behavior. Feels like you have one party breaker mandatory in the room in every situation to lower the mood.

Great observations and suggestions, Raviraj. If I’m being honest, I have probably displayed each of these negative body language signals 😬. The article encourages me to be more conscious of them in the future.

We all have to some extent. The key is to be self-aware and improve.

on #3, not sure if they are confused or disengaged.

BTW I could be the #2 since speaker doesn't realize that a listener also has a, voice, curiosity, opinion, questions, so forth. They are more about them self "hey they are here to listen to me" kind of attitude.

Yes, some talk for too long. In such cases, I will interrupt them too. I have to.

In general its true.

However, I think it depends on personality, and would require a personality change.

Yea, there is an element of personality for some of these. However, if someone wants to lead then I would justify those minor personality tweaks. Of course, the answer is subjective.

All great callouts, Raviraj.

I've probably been each one of these at some point--and still make the mistake sometimes. It's great to have an article like this to be more self-aware and also know how to handle the situations when you see it in others

Totally! Pretty much all of these situations are things that I encountered + exhibited. Glad you loved it.
